Parents and carers in Essex can apply for their child's school place online using the Essex Online Admissions service. Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) applications for admission in September must be received by the date specified by the LA. This is usually 15th January each year. Offers are made on 16th April each year (or the next working day).
After places have been allocated, parents/carers have a right to appeal. Appeals are co-ordinated via Essex County Council and further information can be found at Essex Appeals

Mid-Year Admissions
For most schools, you will need to apply directly to the school. For some schools, you can apply online via the Local Authority please click here.
All mid-year applications should be made directly to the school, using the mid-year application form available on our website below.
Mid-year applications (sometimes called in-year applications) are any application for a school place made to a year group (please see guidance notes below).
For applications into existing year groups, a place will be offered when the number of pupils in the relevant year group is below the admission number for that year group.
Please note: if a mid-year application is received during a school holiday period, we will respond as soon as possible when the school reopens.
Appeals are co-ordinated via Essex County Council and further information can be found at Essex Appeals
